    Mark your calendars! Come join the Vermont Commission on Women and Women’s Legislative Caucus at the Vermont Women’s Economic Security Summit on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at the Vermont State House.

    Women make up half of our state's workforce and are critical to Vermont’s economic future. The aim of this summit will be to generate a range of policy recommendations that better support women as essential contributors to their families’ economic security and to Vermont’s economy as a whole. From wages and benefits to work-family balance and caring for children, come hear state legislators, community leaders, and advocates discuss policies that will not only improve the economic well being of women and their families, but all Vermonters.

    Join this unique 6 week opportunity as a companion to the Women in Leadership: Inspiring Positive Change Course s a MOOC by Case Western Reserve University and Coursera.

    Engaging in both the formal course work presented by Diana Bilimoria, PhD through Coursera and the conversation group facilitated by Learning and Leadership Coach, Kristin Humbargar, will bring the best of high level virtual content, community based personalized learning and conversation together. Meeting at Living Room, Center of Positivity, 8 Railroad Avenue, Essex Jct.

    Leading With Grace: Tango-Inspired Leadership Enrichment for Women

    July 16-19, 2015  ~  Sky Meadow Retreat Center, Stannard, VT

    Our ability to lead expands our capacity to influence the world around us.  This retreat offers women leadership skills through the wisdom and power of the body in collaborative motion.  We’ll engage in inspiring movement activities, share readings and short writings, have themed discussions, and enjoy the retreat center–a rural oasis for hiking, swimming, and relaxing. Women of all ages currently in leadership positions or planning to become leaders are welcome.

    Instructor/host Elizabeth M. Seyler, Ph.D. is a small business owner, university instructor, and writer/researcher.  She has been teaching movement studies to adults for 15 years and excels at making people of all ages and abilities feel genuinely welcome and relaxed.

    Early Birds: Register by May 1, and $385 covers the program, meals & lodging. After May 1, it’s $435.
