WBON+ is a new small-group program that combines the value of collective knowledge & experience with the support of community and the power of accountability. Entrepreneurship can be overwhelming, but you are not alone. As women business owners we’re in this together. If you’re stuck in your business, ready to grow, or just looking for a safe sounding board WBON+ can provide the validation, guidance, and encouragement you need to reach your goals. Amelia Gulkis is co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of EnSave, Inc, an energy and environmental consulting firm focused on the agricultural sector. A native Vermonter, Amelia graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in history. After working in non-profit development for a few years, Amelia jumped at the chance to combine her interest in writing and research with her desire to advance environmental goals. Amelia started at EnSave in 2004 and grew with the company to become Chief Operating Officer and co-owner in 2010. Connect with Amelia on LinkedIn

Lyz Tomsuden is an independent graphic designer in her hometown of Rutland. After earning her BFA in Visual Communications with a Concentration in Graphic Design from Endicott College, she returned home to begin her career as a graphic designer at the Rutland Herald and eventually the Downtown Rutland Partnership. Along the way, she was able to build her own freelance design business and in early 2017, transformed it into a full-time career. Connect with Lyz on LinkedIn.

Money can be a very emotional topic in both your personal and your business life. To build a business that thrives, it is vital to overcome money insecurity, get to know your numbers, and be proactive in seeking the best partnerships to help you achieve your financial goals. In this session, you will hear the story of how a solopeneur navigated the ins and outs of financial responsibility while growing her business.

Christie Garofano, Body Essentials & Christina Ubl, Clute Wealth Management

Christie Garofano's fitness journey began in college as an Exercise Science major. She worked in various capacities within the fitness industry including management, group fitness instruction, and personal training for over 15 years before opening Body Essentials Personal Training & Wellness LLC in Rutland, VT in 2013. She strongly believes in practicing what she preaches and honing her practice with clients with ongoing education, constant reading and studying and practicing the most effective exercise, nutrition and mind-body strategies for a life full of health, happiness, and positive mindset. Christina Ubl is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™. She joined Clute Wealth Management (a Registered Investment Advisor) in 2000 and became a partner in 2014. Even prior to becoming a partner, Christina was involved in all aspects of HR, which included determining when outside experts were needed (such as for comparing health plan options for employees), and hiring an attorney to draft an employee manual. She often works with small business owners and is frequently asked questions about what to do or who to call. She opened the Heidi Clute Agency in 1984 and has worked for more than three decades to build a successful full-service financial planning firm. In that time, she had to make many decisions: from when (and who) to hire to what type of business entity made sense when being a sole proprietor no longer worked. Through the years, Heidi sought out and worked with many professionals to help her through transitions, and she is excited to share this knowledge with other business owners. Kathryn Diedrichsen is the Chief Operating Officer at Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs – Offices in Williston and Rutland, VT. And she has been active with WBON since 2009, serving the Board from 2011 through 2018, acting as WBON's Treasurer for 4 years. Kathryn brings a depth of experience in administration, human resources, IT and finance. She lives in Essex with her husband Jeff and 2 fabulously cute pups.
